Somis: Opus IV

15,00

13 in stock

Born in the Piemonte region, Somis became a musician at the age of 10. According to recent manuscripts, it was discovered that he composed more than 100 concertos but only 5 were preserved.
“Sonatas da Camera”, for violin, cello and harpsichord, were published in Paris in 1763 and dedicated to Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni, a well-known patron at the time who commissioned works from Scarlatti, Corelli or even Handel.
A music close to the Venetian school and in the spirit of Vivaldi.
